Corporate On-Site Massage

Corporate massage is a popular way of relieving stress and releasing tension right in your workplace. You receive your massage in a specialized ergonomic chair or table that I bring to your location. In addition to the usual health benefits of massage, another benefit of corporate massage is that it is done over the clothing.  This way, you can avoid the discomfort and awkwardness that you may feel in disrobing for a traditional massage. Also, these sessions are usually shorter than traditional massage, making it convenient enough to fit into your busy schedule.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.

Trigger Point Therapy

Trigger Point Therapy is a style of bodywork that focuses on stimulating and releasing "trigger points" in your body. Trigger points are tender areas of tension similar to acupressure points, except they occur in the belly of the muscle rather than along the energy pathways of the body. These "knots" are built up throughout a person's life due to physical, mental, and/or emotional stress. During a session, focused pressure is applied through a variety of techniques order to release your trigger points. This process can be quite painful at times, yet the effects are lasting and profoundly transformative.

Cupping (add-on to massage)

The body has a tremendous ability to heal itself, but sometimes due to prolonged stress or external pathogens we can get “stuck” or sick. We may have frequent anxiety, frustration, irritability & sadness or, as the energy gets backed up, illness can take hold. Using cups, energy & red blood cells are brought to the area by the suction of the cupping technique.

Energy that may be stagnant in the muscles and fascia is released. The blood stays in the area to heal, thus creating the “cupping marks” or temporary bruising.

Infrared Red Light Treatment (add-on to massage)

Address inflammation, muscle and joint discomfort, with red and near infrared LEDs. Using targeted red light to alleviate back, shoulder & knee discomfort,  break free from muscle fatigue & soreness.

Lamp employs 3 wavelengths so that you can feel the healing effect of both red & infrared light on your muscles & joints. (Red - 630 nm, Red - 660 nm, Near Infrared - 850 nm)

Pregnancy Massage

Pregnancy Massage is a style of bodywork designed specifically for pregnant women. Pregnancy is a time when a woman's body endures tremendous stress due to dramatic physical and emotional changes. Using various techniques specially developed for the expecting mother, Pregnancy Massage helps release the pain and discomfort experienced throughout pregnancy. The benefits are profound, including emotional support, the relief of joint pain due to extra weight and postural imbalance, and improved breathing and relaxation.

A doctor's release is required for the first trimester of pregnancy.

Lymphatic Massage-Post Surgery

Lymphatic Drainage Therapy aims to gently and rhythmically move the lymph through the body, especially swollen areas of the body, relieving pressure and enhancing the functioning of the immune system. As both a preventative and remedial technique, LD can be used for a wide range of purposes including faster recovery from injury, reduction of swelling and discomfort from pregnancy, and strengthened resistance to illness.

Geriatric Massage

Geriatric massage is a form of massage designed to meet the specific needs of the elderly. It helps to improve blood circulation, relieve pain, and also increase range of motion. If you are elderly, geriatric massage can help you maintain and improve your overall health, as well as regain certain physical functions that have been reduced due to aging. In addition, since the elderly don't typically receive enough physical touch, this massage can also help alleviate symptoms of loneliness or depression. Since many are unable or uncomfortable leaving their home, this is a home visit and the fee includes travel.

Hospice/End-of Life Massage

This service is performed in the patient's bed or recliner at their location whether it be in the hospital or home.  

Massage is an excellent way to enhance quality of life for a hospice patient.  It can help restore feelings of self-acceptance and self-esteem to a person whose body has been invaded by a debilitating, perhaps disfiguring, disease.  It addresses feelings of isolation and loneliness.  The right touch at the right moment can be far more effective than words in acknowledging a person's suffering, and offering comfort and support.  Touch continues to be an appropriate caregiving technique when a person becomes less responsive or is no longer able to communicate verbally.  Touch may even become the primary means of communication at such a turning point.

Unconditional human contact in the form of touch acknowledges the reality of a situation.  It serves to remind the person nearing death that he or she is still an individual.  Touch reinforces the wholeness of the individual, regardless of what may be happening to his or her body and mind.  The physical connection reassures the person that he or she is not alone, and it provides an opportunity for self-expression.

Appointment Cancellation Policy

It is my desire to be effective and fair to all clients, and in order to do so, the following policies are honored:

Cancellation

24 hour advance notice is required when cancelling an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule. If you are unable to give me 24 hours advance notice, then you will be charged the full amount of your appointment (to be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment).  This includes any no-shows.

Late Arrivals
If you arrive late, your session will be shortened. Depending on how late you arrive will determine how to customize your massage. You will still be charged for the full session.
